For sure, life demands a lot from us. And then there are those of us who demand even more of ourselves! I relate…
You want to leave that corporate job, or get out from under the stress of this economy, but how can network marketers build a business, while working full time while raising a family? Or caring for aging parents, or dealing with other stuff life throws at us?
Here are some tips I hope will help you:
First, determine your values. You vote with your time. Notice where you’re spending your time. Keep a log. Is it in line with your values? Or do you want to change it? Sometimes you need to say no TV, or to others needs. May 2014 Nielsen reports that the average American watches TV 4 hours a day. (I don’t watch at all, so that means somebody is watching my share too. 🙂 )
Set priorities. What is most important to you? What brings you income? Do that first each day. What things on your to-do list can you delegate, outsource, or eliminate?
Focus! Constantly ask, “Is this the best thing I can do for my goals?”
Multi-task. Talk to people wherever you are anyway, like work, kids’ play groups, the gym, the waiter, chiropractor, etc. No time for company calls and education? I listen while doing dishes, preparing food, walking my dog, and driving.
Group like activities and locations together. See how you can make fewer trips by planning ahead.
Use a timer. Activities expand to fill the time allotted. Like on Facebook!
Use the pockets of down time. When waiting to get your tires changed, waiting in line at the post office, or picking up someone, use that 5-15 minutes to make a call, send a message, add up your mileage book, or talk to a new person there. Those minutes add up!
Moms: ask for help. I used to pay a neighbor teenage friend to come over and play with my son while I did my business. Some moms trade watching each others’ kids, especially good at the age when they need playmates anyway. Relatives often like to help if they know you need it.
